Don’t forget to review this checklist WEEKLY to keep on track.
1. MAKE UP YOUR MIND
Do you feel uncomfortable? Stressed? Weigh that discomfort and pain and make up your mind to step outside of your comfort zone. Move forward and be decisive in your actions.
2. UNPLUG
TV and news can be negative. Your cellphone can be a distraction. Shut them off and focus on your vision. Read, write, journal, or listen to music that helps you to clear your mind and focus on your goals.
3. MEDITATE
Make time for yourself. Shut out as many distractions as possible, settle into a quiet, comfortable space, and meditate, rest, pray or exercise to relieve stress. Commit to your physical and spiritual growth while gaining mental clarity. Aim to meditate each morning.
4. CREATE YOUR VISION
You have more focus, more free time, better clarity. It’s time to create your true vision. Think about travel, flexibility, self care, quality time with loved ones, and career moves. What do you want?
5. READ
Educate yourself on your pursuits. If you can’t read, seek out audiobooks or podcasts to listen to while working, driving, et cetera. Give your brain a bit of exercise while you’re at it, and take further steps towards your vision. Consider checking out my book, Reprogram Your Mindset.
6. FOCUS ON YOUR VISION
Remember to put your vision first. Successful people don’t wait for perfect conditions. Remind yourself to stay on track. Make time for your passions, important relationships, and your health. You can achieve your vision with focus and a plan!
7. LEARN FROM FAILURE OR SETBACKS
A small setback shouldn’t turn into a big setback. Take setbacks as an opportunity to learn and grow. Be mindful that you’re stepping out of your “Safe Zone,” which is something to be proud of. Reflect on temporary setbacks and use them to inspire you and further drive change.
8. GRATITUDE AND POSITIVITY
Thankfulness can work wonders to improve your attitude and to show your love for those closest to you. Make a list of positive words that describe you. Or write down three things and people you are grateful for. Make gratitude and positivity part of your daily routine.
9. SURROUND YOURSELF WITH WINNERS
Take up a new hobby or recreational activity, and discover new people who are like-minded and positive. Seek out encouraging peers and mentors and be intentional in your relationships. Surrounding yourself with winners will further inspire you and improve your positivity.
