Let’s step it up. You can set the tone for your day, month, year and Life. A manifesto is to set the tone, intention and steer you towards success on your terms. Let’s build your Legacy Life!

So what are some actionable steps you put into practice today? Here are 12 of Dr. Toni®’s favorites:

 1. Be kind to yourself.

How backwards is it that we’re overwhelmingly kind to our loved ones but rarely turn that same kindness upon ourselves? We recommend starting the morning with some powerful affirmations that will keep you riding a motivational high all day long. Sure, gassing yourself up in the mirror might feel bizarre at first but once it becomes a routine habit you’ll be thanking yourself for the massive boost in self-esteem. After all, the way you treat yourself sets the stand for others so make sure you’re treating yourself like the successful professional you are!

 2. If I exist, He exists™️

If you’re feeling discouraged in your search for love, remember my signature mantra: if I exist, he exists™️! Ditch the negative self-talk, because what you focus on, you multiply. Love isn’t something you have to earn, but it can fee out of reach. You are worthy of love. You don’t need to settle. Definitely don’t give up, but it may be time for a new approach.  3. Don’t be so critical of your failures.

Failure is all about perspective. Rather than allowing your mistakes to hinder you, choose to find the little nuggets of gold the experience has taught you! Besides, failure is a sure sign that you’re growing. It takes a tremendous amount of courage and bravery to be vulnerable enough to take risks and learn something new. Let’s celebrate that!

 4. It’s NOT you, it’s THEM.

Quit asking what you’re doing wrong, start believing you’re anything less than an asset. You bring unique value to every space or project and every person you touch. Maybe it’s THEM, not YOU! You bring a unique amount of value to every project and person you touch. The minute you start believing that is the breakthrough moment you finally step into your power.

 5. Live in the present.

It’s a mantra that we hear day in and day out but how often do we truly put this practice into action? Only you know how distracted you are with all the media, emails and checklists. And don’t go easy on yourself either! Fixating too heavily on the past or future only succeeds in punishing yourself and burning you out. Rather than dwelling on what did or didn’t work, appreciate the present for what it is and move forward with the life lessons it taught you so you can upgrade!

 6. Lean on your support systems.

Whoever spread the lie that asking for help is a weakness obviously didn’t know what they were talking about. In fact, recognizing when you need support is a huge show of strength! Never be afraid to reach out to trusted loved ones or external resources for help—it’s what they’re there for and vulnerability is how winners rise!

 7. Start spending time with the right people.

As the saying goes, “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with” so be intentional with who you surround yourself with. Unfortunately, not all friendships last a lifetime and that’s perfectly normal! So don’t be afraid to do a yearly “spring cleaning” of your friends list to evaluate which relationships still serve you as you strive for new heights, new ideas and rise to the next level personally and professionally.

 8. Nurture your relationships.

Once you’ve cultivated your elite circle of friends, be sure to nurture them by voicing exactly how much they mean to you. Practicing gratitude and being an effective communicator only works to bring more joy to both of your lives and strengthens the relationship even further.

 9. Prioritize your happiness.

At this point, our team has heard every excuse in the book for why clients aren’t feeling fulfilled. “If only my boss wasn’t such a terror!” or “If only there were more hours in the day!” But the cold, hard truth of it all? YOU are your own biggest enemy. You are the sole obstacle sabotaging your own happiness, time and time again. The only solution is to be honest about what makes you happy today, after all the losses and stressors.. The only solution is to face that new list head on. Then, you can make your happiness the #1 priority.  Showing up as your best self is the key to making a larger impact. Everything else is secondary.

 10. Work towards your goals every single day.

How many times have you let perfection get in the way of progress? Quit letting fear get in the way of your purpose because it’s bigger than YOU.  Let’s light a fire under that ass and get it moving, honey! Yes, the first step is usually the hardest. Once those gears start turning, the momentum will help you rise!

 11. Make time for yourself outside of work and family obligations.

Ever heard of some “me time”? All work and no play is a quick ticket to personal burnout and that’s never a cute look on anybody. Instead, schedule time into your calendar that’s exclusively yours. After all, you are your most important asset as a breadwinner so treat yourself like royalty! Sneak away to your new home gym or yoga mat to unleash some restless energy. Take a daily midday walk outdoors for a little sunshine and Vitamin D.

 12. Stop waiting for a Cosign!

While your loved ones may have your best intentions at heart, you’re the one who needs to enjoy this life and live with your decisions at the end of the day. While it’s a good idea to consult others who have achieved the goals you set for yourself for valuable input, be mindful of forming your own opinion before inviting others to influence it. Your own intuition is your best friend—don’t be afraid to trust it!

So there you have it! Your very own Legacy Life Manifesto you can start putting into action right this very minute. Now abandon those old, tired excuses (they aren’t doing you any favors anyway) and let the Soar to Excellence® team know which struck a chord with you the most!
